Payment Field Mapping does not allow to map Currency to a field anymore (Stripe Payment Integration)

What happened?

On Freeform 3.13.32, Stripe payment integration allowed to map the Currency to a form field.

After we upgraded to Craft 5, and using now Freeform 5.10.9, this is not possible anymore. Instead I need to define a currency in the form settings. We can just map to a field the Payment Amount Field
and not the Payment Currency.

In our form, the user can select a currency from a dropdown. And we need to send to Stripe that specific currency. We cannot define a single currency, as depending on the user, this will be different.

Is there any intention to get back that feature?
Is there a way to get what we need?

How can we reproduce this?

1. Add Stripe Payment integration
2. Add Stripe Payment to a form
3. Select the Card field and configure the integration

There might be a good reason for this, but I will check with a developer and get back to you about this. 🙂

To change the currency dynamically with a field, a new Stripe payment intent would need to be generated each time. This could fill the Stripe dashboard with numerous incomplete payment intents if not set up according to best practices.

At any rate, this is something that cannot be quickly added. I've moved it to our feature requests list for future consideration. 🙂
