Resources

A catalog, not a link dump. Every entry was checked, and every number comes from the source itself: GitHub stars from the API, Obsidian plugin installs from the official community stats file that the app itself is built on.

Figures are from September 2026 and will drift. The relative picture holds much longer than the absolute numbers.

  • Plugins. Obsidian plugins, ranked by installs
  • Tools. Editors, capture, search, graph, everything outside Obsidian
  • Skills and agents. Agent skills for this pattern, counted individually
  • Repositories. Graph, RAG, memory and PKM repos by stars
  • Reading. The ideas behind the pattern
  • Papers. Retrieval, graphs and long-context research

How entries are chosen

Repositories need real adoption, roughly a thousand stars, unless they are small on purpose and worth reading anyway, in which case that is stated.

Plugins are ranked by installs rather than stars. Installs measure use; stars measure attention, and the two diverge sharply in this ecosystem.

Skills are counted individually. A repo shipping sixteen skills counts as sixteen, because that is what you actually get.

Anything I could not verify is named without a link rather than guessed at.
