Hmm. 2048x858 seems like a rather low resolution indeed. How does your resolution list look like and how did you configure things? Note: of course simply downloading the app will do nothing, obviously you need to set up flexible scaling (https://github.com/waydabber/BetterDisplay/wiki/Fully-scalable-HiDPI-desktop) - I assume you did that and somehow it still does not work. |
Thanks for quick reply. Yes, I tried the instructions in the link and I don't seem to get a slidable resolution bar, I'm stuck at certain presets (3440 x 1440, 1920 x 804 & 1720 x 720), none of which offer HiDPI. Instead I select High Resolution (HiDPI) from the menu which forces 2028 x 858. See config attached. Thanks.

Oh, but flexible scaling is a pro feature and you don't seem to have pro and trial ran out, probably that's why it does not work? You can try creating custom scaled resolutions though. |

Thanks. Not sure why the trial has already run out, I thought it was 7 days? I'm sure I did also try this immediately after downloading when it was Pro and it didn't work. Bit reluctant to purchase Pro and it doesn't make any difference |

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I have download BetterDisplay hoping to resolve the issue of only have LoDPI fonts on my LG UltraWide 34U650A-B but having followed the instructions to achieve this, it doesn't seem to be making any difference at all.
I am using the trial version at the moment with the Pro features still active, but whatever I try I can't get HiDPI working at an acceptable resolution.
I can only achieve HiDPI by setting the resolution at 2048 x 858 but then everything is so large on the screen, it's pointless and unusable.
Does anyone have any specific settings for this monitor, else I can't a reason for purchasing BetterDisplay.
Thanks.
