Hints reopens automatically

Hello,

I would like to achieve following flow:
Primary+Shift+Space -> select link -> perform left_click -> wait -> opens hints again automatically

Is that possible?

Also #1018 might be able to do a better job by detecting content drift automatically, this is still wip.

You don't have to, there's a lot of ways to achieve the same thing depends on how you want it to work.

I'll share some examples later when I have my laptop around.

TLDR, every hotkeys are composable with an array of actions. You can experiment a little through docs first.

hey sorry for the late update:

At this moment, couple of ways:

Global hotkey method:

using --repeat key

This doesn't support delay tho, but it's the most straight forward one. --repeat will repeat the action but can only be used with --action

"Ctrl+Z" = "hints --action left_click --repeat"

use action sleep

This supports keep recurring with sleeping, downside is that the second hints will not keep continue

[hotkeys]
"Ctrl+Z" = ["hints --action left_click", "action wait_for_mode_exit", "action sleep 0.3", "hints --action left_click"]

But we can use feed key and call itself again. but remember to add --bail for exit to properly handle exit of the mode manually.

"Ctrl+Z" = ["hints --action left_click", "action wait_for_mode_exit --bail", "action sleep 0.3", "action feed ctrl+z"]

App configs

instead of setting these to a truly global, you can set it to just certain app but still global hotkeys

These are some alternatives, neru is very composeable, with all of our primitives, you can compose actions that you want easily (a little bit of learning curve or docs hunting tho). Feel free to join our discord channel if you needs a more direct replies.

I explored your docs but got lost.
This works best, and I would never came to that solution :D

One thing: after a click opens a tab, the hints disappear. If it is on the same page, it stays, which I want to achieve.
