This project is a structured SQL Server database designed to manage and organize family reunions — from facilities and members to scheduled events and attendance responses.
It was created as my final SQL assignment, showcasing my understanding of:
- Database creation
- Table relationships
- Constraints
- Transactions and error handling
Database Name: Assignment06HTharhan
-
Facility
- Stores information about available reunion venues.
-
FamilyMembers
- Tracks each family member’s details (name, email, status, etc.).
-
ScheduledReunion
- Holds data for planned reunions — including date, time, location, and costs.
-
ReunionResponses
- Records RSVPs and payment information from family members.
- Each ScheduledReunion is linked to one Facility.
- Each ReunionResponse is tied to one FamilyMember and one ScheduledReunion.
All foreign keys are validated with existence checks before creation to ensure database integrity.
- ✅ Transaction-based creation with rollback on error
- 🧩 Primary and foreign key constraints
- 🧮 Improved decimal precision for monetary fields
- 🧍♀️ Nullable middle names for flexibility
- 💬 User-friendly success/error messages
- Open Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Run the script
Assignment06HTharhan.sql. - The database and tables will be created automatically!
- Look for the success message:
