🚀 Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Java Development Kit (JDK)
  • Apache Tomcat 8.x or later
  • MySQL Server
  • Eclipse IDE (recommended)

Database Setup

  1. Create a MySQL database:
CREATE DATABASE paymentdb;
  1. Create the payments table:
CREATE TABLE payments (
  id INT AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY,
  name VARCHAR(100) NOT NULL,
  amount DECIMAL(10, 2) NOT NULL,
  date DATE NOT NULL
);
  1. Update your DB credentials in the Java connection file (usually in a class like DBConnection.java):
String jdbcURL = "jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/paymentdb";
String dbUser = "root";
String dbPassword = "your_password";

Running the Project

  1. Import the project into Eclipse as a Dynamic Web Project
  2. Add Apache Tomcat server runtime
  3. Deploy the project to the server
  4. Start the server and visit:
