| Peers negotiate `lean/1` through the existing RLPx Hello exchange. All ten message IDs MUST be reserved even if an optional object kind is unsupported. Only Status may be sent until the peer's Status has been accepted. | ||

| A **profile ID** is a 32-byte immutable identifier assigned by the chain's [EIP-8288](./eip-8288.md) activation specification. Its definition MUST identify the cryptographic statement, supported schemes, canonical witness and aggregate-proof encodings, aggregation verification key, public-input encoding, and consensus acceptance bounds. The network transport encodings in this EIP are fixed; a profile MUST NOT silently replace them. Changes to a profile definition require a new profile ID. |

who assigns profile ids? 8288 only has AGGREGATED_VK, should this eip define how the id is derived?

Agreed, 8288 only has a fixed AGGREGATED_VK. Now derived here: profile_id = H("lean/1/profile\0" || AGGREGATED_VK); the MUST-identify list and per-profile empty-set rule are gone (defers to 8288: empty deps ⇒ empty stark_proof). Fixed in 97f4bb2.
…P-8288 FOCIL
- profile_id = H("lean/1/profile\0" || AGGREGATED_VK); defer empty-set rule to EIP-8288
- kind 3 carries the EIP-8288 FOCIL [transactions, [stark_proof, deps_hash]] and checks deps_hash
- drop raw_proof_hash and MAX_TRANSACTION_BYTES; use EIP-8288 names and get_deps_hash
- tighten wording throughout

Defines
eth/73propagation of EIP-8288 proof wrappers throughNewProofWrapperHashes,GetProofWrappers, andProofWrappers. Missing envelopes use existing pooled transaction retrieval and bounded local retention of envelopes from offered wrappers.Full wrapper validation precedes admission and relay. Message counts and wrapper sizes are bounded; scheduling, rates and fork-grace periods remain local policy. Protocol version and message IDs are provisional.
Depends on #12473's wrapper format. The deployment baseline includes #12479's proof-in-body change; #12475 specifies the companion FOCIL interaction.
Validation:
eipwand transport vector checks pass, including response limits and pooled-envelope matching.
