Give copies received through Desiderata the book's own inventory prefix - #494
Conversation
The desiderata plugin created received copies with the base code
'LIB-' . $bookId in all three of its receipt paths (book form, direct
receipt, donation offer), ignoring the book's "Prefisso inventario copie".
Libraries with their own numbering scheme got LIB-<id>-C1 codes they
cannot correct, since a copy's code is written once.
The rule "the book's prefix, else LIB-{id}" now lives in one place,
CopyRepository::inventoryBase(), and every path that allocates copy codes
uses it: the three plugin paths (reading the prefix from the libri row
they already lock FOR UPDATE), the book create form, the copies form,
POST /api/libri/{id}/increase-copies and the Mobile API add-copies
endpoint. The Mobile API receive endpoints delegate to the plugin and
inherit the fix. Existing codes are never renamed.
Fixes #489
A Playwright spec creates wanted books from the admin book form with an inventory prefix and receives them through the three buttons an operator has (closing the request from the book form, the requests list, a donor proposal), then reads the copy code on the book page. A book without a prefix keeps the LIB-<id>-C1 default.

Reviewed changes
Reviewed the full PR: copy code allocation now goes through one shared rule, so copies received through Desiderata use the book's own inventory prefix.
CopyRepository::inventoryBase()— new single source for "trimmed book prefix, otherwiseLIB-{id}".'0'is now honoured, where the old!empty()checks treated it as missing.- Core callers —
LibriController::store,CopyController::createCopy,POST /api/libri/{id}/increase-copiesand mobile-apiStaffBooksController::addCopiesreplace their inlined copies of the rule with the helper. Behaviour is the same apart from trimming and'0'. - Desiderata receipts —
registerCopies(),receiveDirect()andmanage()(received) now readnumero_inventariofrom thelibrirow they already lockFOR UPDATEand pass it to the helper, so no extra query and no race. - Tests — a DB-backed unit test covers all three receipt paths with and without a prefix (CI's
ci-qualityjob provides MySQL and a.env, so it runs there). A Playwright spec drives the same paths through the admin screens.
I checked that every remaining caller of createManyForBook*, createWithAllocatedInventoryCode and allocateInventoryCodes goes through the helper. The exceptions are the CSV/LibraryThing imports (ISBN base) and book-club's direct 'LIB-' . $libroId insert, which the PR description already puts out of scope. All changed PHP files lint clean, and a direct probe of inventoryBase() returns the expected values for a padded prefix, null and '0'.

version.json goes to 0.8.7, with a CHANGELOG section and a README highlight for the PHP security notice (fabiodalez-dev#491) and the four merged PRs (fabiodalez-dev#490, fabiodalez-dev#492, fabiodalez-dev#493, fabiodalez-dev#494). The dynamic version badge stays as it is, and 0.8.6 moves into the list of earlier highlights. Desiderata 1.2.1 and Mobile API 1.8.2 now require 0.8.7: both call CopyRepository::inventoryBase(), which this release adds, so a plugin ZIP installed on an older core would activate and then fail on the first copy it creates.

Fixes #489
Problem
The Desiderata plugin created received copies with the base code
'LIB-' . $bookIdin all three of its receipt paths, ignoring the book's own "Prefisso inventario copie" (libri.numero_inventario). A library with its own numbering scheme gotLIB-<id>-C1codes it cannot correct, since a copy's inventory code is written once and is not editable afterwards (that stays as it is).Change
The rule "the book's prefix, otherwise
LIB-{id}" now lives in one place,CopyRepository::inventoryBase(), and every path that allocates copy codes goes through it:registerCopies()), the direct receipt (receiveDirect()) and a donation proposal marked received (manage()). Each reads the prefix from thelibrirow it already locksFOR UPDATE, so no extra query.LibriController), the copies form (CopyController),POST /api/libri/{id}/increase-copiesand the Mobile API add-copies endpoint (StaffBooksController)./staff/desiderata/wanted/{id}/receive,/staff/desiderata/offers/{id}/receive) delegate toDesiderataPlugin::receiveDirect()/manage(), so the app gets the fix without changes of its own.Two small behaviour notes on the shared helper: surrounding whitespace in the prefix is trimmed, and a prefix of
0is now honoured (the previous!empty()checks treated it as missing).Existing codes are never renamed and there is no migration. The desiderata plugin version goes from 1.2.0 to 1.2.1.
Out of scope on purpose: CSV and LibraryThing imports derive the base from the ISBN, and the book-club plugin creates a brand-new book with no prefix; neither uses this rule.
Tests
tests/desiderata-inventory-prefix-489.unit.phpreceives a wanted book through each of the three plugin paths, on a real database, once with aBIB-…prefix (expectsBIB-…-C1, and-C1/-C2for the two-copy form receipt) and once without (expectsLIB-{id}-C1). Against the code onmainthe three prefixed paths fail withLIB-<id>-C1; with this change all 16 checks pass.tests/desiderata-inventory-prefix-489.spec.jsdoes the same through the real admin screens on Apache + PHP-FPM: it creates the wanted books from the admin book form, receives them with the operator's buttons and reads the code in the book page's physical copies table. It fails onmainand passes (4/4) with this change; the existingdesiderata.spec.jsanddesiderata-extended.spec.jsstill pass (14/14).scripts/ci-quality-local.shgreen.Summary by CodeRabbit
