LogSnap v1.0.2

New

  • Abrupt power-loss detection (PSU / power troubleshooting). LogSnap now
reads each Kernel-Power Event 41's BugcheckCode and PowerButtonTimestamp
    and tells three cases apart:

    • came back from a crash (BSOD, with the bugcheck code),
    • power button held / forced off,
    • abrupt power loss - no crash, no clean shutdown.
When several abrupt power-offs show up, it surfaces a summary pointing to a
likely hardware power issue (PSU, cooling, power cable/outlet, motherboard).

Honest by design: software can't read the PSU directly (no sensors are exposed
to the OS), so this is a suspicion, not a verdict - but it's the strongest
hint logs can give for a PC that dies with no BSOD.

Files

  • LogSnap.exe - the tool (portable, no install)
  • LogSnap_Documentation.pdf - documentation
