No camera since 4.24.0 #7707
Description
What
I have granted camera permission, and I can scan in previous versions but nothing is displayed in the scan section at 4.24.0
Steps to reproduce the behavior
- Enter the app
- Nothing is displayed at scan section
Expected behavior
Scan section shows camera

Tried in other devices and also do not working.
I'm using fdroid version from github releases. Play release working fine

So the factor would be the froid build ?

For the record fdroid isn't supposed to work anyway, as explained before: no zxing for the moment.

I looked into why this happens. Since #7668 the F-Droid scanner is a placeholder, and the home page also uses mobile_scanner directly, so F-Droid's own build (which removes mobile_scanner) can't compile 4.24. That's why F-Droid is still on 4.23.0. There's also a small bug: the script that enables zxing in the release workflow looks for scanner_mlkit, but the package is scanner_ml_kit, so the GitHub F-Droid APK still bundles ML Kit.
@monsieurtanuki would you accept a PR that moves the home page's mobile_scanner calls behind the Scanner interface and brings back the old zxing scanner on qr_code_scanner_plus (a maintained fork of qr_code_scanner that supports Flutter 3.44)? Or would you prefer flutter_zxing, or to keep this for later?
I'd be happy to take this issue, unless someone else is already on it.
