fix(redirect): restrict custom cookies to same host and apply auth secrets per domain rules (#2696) - #2701
Custom Cookies: Previously, httpx.setCustomCookies(redirectedRequest) unconditionally attached custom cookies (-H "Cookie: ...") to every redirect hop, leaking cookies when redirected to foreign hosts. With this change, custom cookies are retained only for the initial host or its subdomains. For cross-host redirects, cookies from the initial host are stripped.
Auth Secrets (-secret-file): When following redirects cross-host, previous host auth secrets/headers (such as custom header keys, bearer tokens, or basic auth) are removed, and the auth provider looks up and applies secrets for the redirect target according to domain rules.
Changes
Added Remove(*http.Request) and RemoveOnRR(*retryablehttp.Request) to authx.AuthStrategy interface and implemented on all auth strategies (BasicAuthStrategy, BearerTokenAuthStrategy, CookiesAuthStrategy, HeadersAuthStrategy, QueryAuthStrategy).
Added AuthProvider authprovider.AuthProvider to httpx.Options and passed it from runner.go.
Updated redirectFunc in common/httpx/httpx.go with domain matching (isSameHostOrSubdomain) to enforce cookie boundaries and apply domain-scoped secrets on redirect hops.
Added comprehensive unit tests in common/httpx/redirect_test.go covering same-host cookie preservation, cross-host cookie exclusion, and domain-scoped auth secret switching on redirects.
Summary by CodeRabbit
Bug Fixes
Redirected requests no longer forward custom cookies to unrelated hosts; cookies are retained for the original host and its subdomains.
Authentication on redirects now uses settings that match the destination, preventing credentials configured for the previous host from being carried over.
Redirect URLs retain their query parameters, including tokens, when query-based authentication is configured for the original host.
Redirects now check the redirect limit before updating cookies or authentication, avoiding changes to requests that exceed the limit.

Walkthrough
The HTTP client now removes prior-host authentication on cross-domain redirects, applies credentials configured for the redirect host, and limits custom cookies to the initial host and its subdomains. The runner initializes the auth provider before creating the HTTP client.
The authentication strategies add Remove and RemoveOnRR methods. They remove configured authorization headers, cookies, headers, or query parameters from standard and retryable requests.
Auth provider initialization runner/runner.go
The runner creates the auth provider before constructing the HTTP client and assigns it to the HTTP client options.
Redirect handling removes prior-host authentication on cross-domain redirects, applies strategies for the redirect URL, and limits custom cookies to the initial host and its subdomains. Tests cover cross-host and same-host cookies and host-specific authentication.

Explanation
The directly linked issue is [#2696]. The changed redirect logic keeps custom cookies for the initial host and its dot-delimited subdomains. It removes the Cookie header for other hosts. When AuthProvider is configured, the logic removes credentials copied from all prior redirect requests and applies strategies matched to the redirect target. runner.go passes the provider into httpx.Options. Added tests cover cookie boundaries, target-specific auth headers, and preservation of redirect query parameters.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes remain within [#2696]. The new Remove and RemoveOnRR methods support redirect credential cleanup. AuthProvider wiring supports target-domain secret lookup. The host matching and cookie changes implement the issue behavior. The redirect tests verify the changed behavior. No unrelated change is demonstrated.

A rabbit checks the headers at the gate, Then keeps each cookie with its proper state. New hosts get secrets meant for them alone, Old secrets leave before the request is flown. The rabbit hops, and redirects safely roam.
Both test servers use 127.0.0.1 with different ports. The target’s hostname entry overwrites the initial hostname entry, and LookupURL selects that shared hostname before either port-specific entry. The test therefore applies target-secret to the initial request and can pass without testing removal or a credential switch. Use distinct hostnames, or select the port-specific entry first and assert what each server receives. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

…eserve target query parameters
- Clean up credentials copied by net/http from prior requests that do not match destination domain rules
- Preserve query-auth parameters explicitly provided in target Location redirect URL
- Add regression tests for multi-hop redirect and target query-auth preservation
