BioRegional OS is an AGPL-3.0, local-first tool for community watershed and ecoregion stewardship. For a point it resolves the EPA Level III/IV ecoregion and USGS WBD watershed, compiles USDA soil survey, USGS stream gauge, iNaturalist/GBIF and hazard data into an offline regional dossier with per-source licence attribution, and runs stewardship projects through gates (ecological assessment, Indigenous consent, data consent) that close only on evidence plus a named reviewer. Threatened species are counted, never located.
It is early (first public commit September 2026), so happy for it to sit Under Observation if it does not yet meet the external-usage criterion.
