Open

Description

@kmf

Is there an existing issue for this?

  • I have searched the existing issues and found none matching what I'm reporting.

Is the feature related to a problem or existing issue?

Tried to delete the Steam snap it took very long to delete it eventually diving into the cli, was try to backup my steam library before deletion.

Describe the feature, why the feature matters to you, and what benefits the feature will bring about.

Think it would give power users the ability quickly delete Packages.

Could be part of the dropdown options.

Describe any alternatives you've considered.

No using the snap,
Bazaar uses a feature when you uninstall to ask if you want to keep data or delete it permanently.

    @kmf thank you for the feedback! That is a great idea 🙂
    @juanruitina curious on your thoughts on adding it as a drop down option? Would be quick to add on our side.

    I find the GNOME Software dialog to make a lot of sense: it works to ask the user to remove app data when deleting the app; it's a bit more awkward to purge after installation. If `--purge`` works exactly like that, I would seriously consider adding such a modal.
